Borussia Dortmund got the job done on the final matchday of the 2020/21 Bundesliga season, earning a 3-1 win against Bayer Leverkusen.

The game saw Borussia Dortmund legend Lukasz Piszczek make the final appearance of his professional career. Banners on the Südtribüne, special shirts, and a bouquet of flowers were ready to give ‘Piszcu’ a well deserved and special farewell.

The stage was set for an entertaining match despite the fact that there was not much to play for for either team. Borussia Dortmund’s two main objectives had already been met: winning the DFB-Pokal and qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

But they still managed to get the three points against Bayer Leverkusen, with goals from Erling Haaland and Marco Reus sealing a 3-1 win. Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from the game.

Roman Bürki (7.5/10)

Bürki showed just how good he can be by delivering a confident and strong performance in goal against Bayer Leverkusen. He made an excellent save to deny Paulinho in the first half, and then kept his side ahead with several important stops after the break.

He also showed his class when he decided to let the retiring Lars Bender score from the spot in the final minute of the game, even though it took away his clean sheet.
