Thomas Delaney (6.5/10)

Thomas Delaney was given the chance to start and he worked as hard as he always does for the team. The Dane covered more ground than any other player over the course of the 90 minutes (11.7 km). He plugged holes in midfield on several occasions, and made sure that Leverkusen did not get too many clear cut chances.

Mahmoud Dahoud (6/10)

Dahoud’s usual dynamism in the middle of the park was absent for large portions of the first half. But he still managed to show glimpses of his quality over the 45 minutes he spent on the pitch. Unfortunately for him, he had to be subbed off at halftime with what appeared to be a muscle injury.

Julian Brandt (6/10)

It has been a disappointing season for Julian Brandt. And he was given the chance to start against Bayer Leverkusen. He won the ball before Haaland’s opener and played some intelligent passes. But he also gave the ball away cheaply on a few occasions.
