Jadon Sancho is being heavily linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund. But the Black and Yellows will not offer any discounts to Manchester United.
Speculation about Jadon Sancho’s future has dominated headlines all week, with reports in England claiming that Manchester United are confident of finally completing his signing this summer. The Premier League side reportedly made their opening bid for the England international this week, which was said to be rejected by Borussia Dortmund. But according to the very reliable Ruhr Nachrichten, the supposed offer did not land in Dortmund.
RN add that the conditions for a possible transfer have already been clearly communicated to Manchester United, just like last year. And those conditions will form the framework of any potential deal.
Manchester United are trying to drive the fee down as much as possible. But Ruhr Nachrichten say that there will definitely not be any more discounts from Borussia Dortmund, and rather performance related bonuses could be added on to increase the overall fee. Borussia Dortmund want a transfer fee in the region of 90-100 million euros for Sancho, who still has two years left on his contract.
RN also claim that Sancho will want a decision on his future to be made as soon as possible, but that is not likely to happen. The 21 year old was asked about his future on Thursday, and said that he is not paying any attention to the transfer rumours.
Sancho is coming off an impressive season for Borussia Dortmund, having scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.
