Borussia Dortmund could target Donyell Malen if Jadon Sancho leaves this summer

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in signing Donyell Malen, with the PSV Eindhoven forward considered to be a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho.
According to BILD, Donyell Malen is Borussia Dortmund’s top target to replace Jadon Sancho if the England international joins Manchester United this summer. The tabloid claims that a move for Malen would cost the Black and Yellows around 30 million euros, and final talks will likely take place after the end of the European Championships.
Malen is coming off an impressive campaign with PSV Eindhoven. The former Arsenal youth team player scored 27 goals and provided ten assists in 45 appearances across all competitions for the Dutch side this season.
Malen is primarily a centre-forward, so it is unlikely that he would be a direct replacement for Sancho if signed. But the 22 year old is also capable of playing on the wing and in the second striker role.
Sancho is once again being heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. The Premier League side are reportedly confident of signing the England international. But the two clubs are not yet close to reaching an agreement, and the BVB bosses will not budge on their demands.
Borussia Dortmund want a fee in the region of 90-100 million euros for Sancho, who has two years left on his current contract.
BILD also add that even though Malen is the first-choice, there are other players on Borussia Dortmund’s list of targets. Malen’s PSV Eindhoven teammate Noni Madueke has also been linked with a move to BVB in recent weeks.
