Germany kick-off their UEFA Euro 2020 group stage campaign on Tuesday, as they go up against world champions France at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

France are among the heavy favourites to win the Euros this summer, but first they must navigate their way through a challenging Group F that features Germany, Portugal and Hungary.

Despite their recent woes, Germany still have a lot of quality in their squad. And they will also be boosted by the returns of Mats Hummels and Thomas Müller, who are set to make their first competitive starts for their country since November 2018.

The European Championships are set to be Joachim Löw’s final tournament in-charge of Germany. And he will no doubt want to end his reign on a high. Die Mannschaft go into the tournament not as contenders, but rather as dark horses.

Germany and France have some of the world’s most talented attacking players in their ranks. And we could be in for a fascinating battle between the two teams on Tuesday.
