Borussia Dortmund are inching closer to the signing of yet another exciting prospect in the form of  talented midfielder Abdoulaye Kamara.

In a move that has shocked absolutely nobody who follows Borussia Dortmund closely, the club is on the cusp of signing yet another talented youngster in the form of defensive midfielder Abdoulaye Kamara from Paris Saint-German. The 16 year old Guinean has impressed Dortmund enough for them to pull the trigger and bring him into the fold either this summer, or the summer of 2022 when his contract with PSG expires.

According to Ruhr Nachrichten, the club are trying to see if they can come to an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the coming season as they wish for Kamara to be part of their U-19s setup. Kamara is a versatile player who can also play in defence.

Kamara will also be the third player that Borussia Dortmund have manage to pry away from PSG’s academy. Should the signing go through, he will follow in the footsteps of Dan Axel Zagadou and Soumaila Coulibaly, the latter of which will be joining this summer as well and joining the first team setup after reports have come out indicating he has fully recovered from his previous ACL injury.

Borussia Dortmund are of course not the only club in the Bundesliga to look to PSG’s academy for talent. Both RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen have also benefitted from the French capital’s football factory, with the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Moussa Diaby both making the switch to the Bundesliga, among others.

He will be yet another exciting player for the future for the team to nurture and develop in the hopes that he will one day make an impact at the top level of German football.
