Group F

France, Germany, Portugal, Hungary

Group F remains wide open with all four teams in with a chance of qualifying for the last 16. Germany gave their qualification hopes a major boost with a 4-2 win over Portugal on Saturday. They are now second in Group F, a point behind leaders France and level on points with Portugal.

France and Portugal are due to face each other on Wednesday, and the winners of that game will confirm their place in the round of 16. Even a draw should be enough for both teams to make it through. Portugal will need to better Germany’s result if they want to finish in the top two. While France will need to match Germany’s result to finish top in Group F.

Germany face Hungary in their final group game, and should qualify for the next round if they manage to get a point. If Germany beat Hungary and France fail to overcome Portugal, Joachim Löw’s side will finish as Group F winners.
