Movement in Jadon Sancho saga as Manchester United make opening bid

Manchester United have reportedly made their official opening bid for Jadon Sancho, but Borussia Dortmund remain firm on their asking price of 95 million euros plus bonuses.
Jadon Sancho’s future has been the subject of a lot of speculation in recent weeks. It was reported earlier this month that Manchester United had made their opening offer for the England international, which was rejected by Borussia Dortmund. That rumour was denied by the reliable Ruhr Nachrichten, who claimed that the reported bid never landed in Dortmund.
Ruhr Nachrichten (subscription required) now say that there has finally been some movement in the Jadon Sancho case, and Borussia Dortmund have received Manchester United’s official opening bid for the winger. They report that the bid is now being considered, but add that the BVB bosses want a fixed fee of 95 million euros plus bonuses for the 21 year old. The asking price remains non-negotiable.
Borussia Dortmund want a decision on Sancho’s future to be made by the first half of July at the latest. The Black and Yellows would need to sign a replacement if Sancho is sold this summer. And Ruhr Nachrichten mention highly rated PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke as one of the names on BVB’s list of targets.
Madueke is coming off an impressive breakthrough campaign with PSV. The 19 year old scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 32 appearances for the Dutch side this season. His performances also saw him earn his maiden England U-21s cap during the UEFA U-21 Championship in March.
