Eleven Borussia Dortmund players have qualified for the last 16 of the European Championships, setting up some fascinating ties in the first round of the knockout phase.

Borussia Dortmund duo Manuel Akanji and Gregor Kobel helped Switzerland finish third in Group A, setting up a round of 16 clash against world champions and Group F winners France. The tie will take place in Bucharest on Monday, June 28.

Belgium’s reward for winning Group B is a mouth-watering round of 16 clash against defending European champions Portugal (who finished third in Group F). The two sides will meet in Seville on Sunday, June 27. Four Borussia Dortmund players could be involved in the game. Axel Witsel, Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard will likely be in the Belgium starting XI, while Raphael Guerreiro will feature for Portugal.

Denmark finished second in Group B and will face Wales in the Euro 2020 round of 16 opener. Thomas Delaney and co. will make the trip to Amsterdam for the game, which is scheduled for Saturday, June 26.

Another highly-awaited round of 16 clash will see England and Germany face off in London on Tuesday, June 29. Four Borussia Dortmund players could be involved, as Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham will go up against Mats Hummels and Emre Can. Germany needed an 84th minute equaliser against Hungary to finish as runners-up in Group F. While England won Group D with two wins and a draw to their name.
