Borussia Dortmund centre-back Manuel Akanji will likely start for Switzerland against Spain, while goalkeeper Gregor Kobel will be on the bench. Switzerland will have to make do without key midfielder Granit Xhaka, who is suspended.
The winner of the quarterfinal between Switzerland and Spain will go up against Belgium or Italy in the Euro 2020 semi-finals.
