Donyell Malen is being heavily linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund. Now PSV Eindhoven technical director John de Jong has given an update on his future.

It was reported by SportBILD earlier on Wednesday that Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement on personal terms with Donyell Malen. The report added that BVB and PSV Eindhoven are only five million euros apart in their valuation of the Netherlands international.

PSV technical director John de Jong told Voetbal International on Wednesday that they haven’t received any concrete offers for Malen, but added that things can change very quickly. He also confirmed that the chances of Malen leaving PSV this summer are very high.

"“We are being kept informed by Mino Raiola,” de Jong said. “They know what we want and we have given these players the space to go and talk to interested clubs. If they reach an agreement, then the respective club will contact us.”“At the moment we haven’t received any concrete offers. But that can of course change very quickly. The chance that they both leave is of course very high.”"

Donyell Malen is thought to be Borussia Dortmund’s top target as they look to replace Jadon Sancho, who is on the verge of completing a move to Manchester United.

Malen is primarily a striker, but he is more than comfortable playing on the wing and in the number ten role as well. The 22 year old scored 27 goals and provided 10 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions for PSV Eindhoven last season. He has three years left on his current contract.

Liverpool are also in the race for Malen’s signature, and it will be interesting to see which team ends up signing him. The former Arsenal youth team player is represented by Mino Raiola, who has a good relationship with the BVB bosses.

While Malen could be on his way to Borussia Dortmund this summer, it appears that his teammate Noni Madueke will be staying with PSV. John de Jong said that PSV are not planning to sell the England U-21s international this summer unless ‘something crazy’ happens.
