Borussia Dortmund continue their pre-season preparations with a test match against Spanish side Athletic Bilbao in Switzerland on Saturday.
Borussia Dortmund are ramping up their pre-season preparations with just two weeks to go before the start of the 2021/22 season. The Black and Yellows are currently in Switzerland for their annual pre-season training camp. And they play their penultimate test match of the summer on Saturday, as they go up against Athletic Bilbao. The game will be played at the Kybunpark in St. Gallen and kick-off is at 16:00 CET.
Erling Haaland looks set to make his first appearance of pre-season after missing Borussia Dortmund’s first two friendlies. The likes of Marco Reus, Gregor Kobel, Julian Brandt, Mahmoud Dahoud and Gio Reyna should also feature for Marco Rose’s side. While new signing Abdoulaye Kamara could be in line for his debut.
A number of other BVB youngsters from the U-19 and U-23 teams will also get a chance to impress, with several first-team stars still on their post-Euro 2020 breaks. All first-team players played 45 minutes each during the first two pre-season friendlies. And it will be interesting to see if Rose gives them more playing time on Saturday with the start of the season fast approaching.
