Jude Bellingham (5.5/10)

Bellingham was named in the starting XI despite only returning to training on Monday. The 18 year old played a couple of really good passes, including one excellent through ball for Felix Passlack. But he also showed a few signs of rustiness. He was replaced by Axel Witsel ten minutes into the second half.

Mahmoud Dahoud (6/10)

Dahoud started the game in the number six role and wasn’t able to get involved in the game as much as he would have liked in the first half. He got more freedom to make forward runs after Axel Witsel’s introduction. And he played an influential role in the team’s attacks after that.

Gio Reyna (7.5/10)

Playing in the deep lying playmaker role, Reyna started the game really well and created an early chance for Erling Haaland that was cleared off the line. He initiated a number of good openings and led the game with five key passes. He also performed his defensive duties well, and set up the goal that sealed Haaland’s hat-trick.
