Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick to lead Borussia Dortmund to a 3-0 win over SV Wehen Wiesbaden on Saturday. After the game, he stated once again just how happy he is at the club.

Erling Haaland began his 2021/22 campaign with a bang, as he scored a hat-trick to help Borussia Dortmund cruise to a 3-0 win over SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the first round of the DFB-Pokal on Saturday. The 21 year old said after the game that he is proud to be a part of this club.

"“It’s nice to win, nice to score three goals and just nice to be back,” Haaland said. “It’s incredible to have the fans back in the stadiums. It’s a good feeling to see them here and I’m proud to be a part of this club.”"

Haaland’s hat-trick helped him take his tally for Borussia Dortmund to 60 goals in just 60 appearances across all competitions. The 20 year old said that every goal is a special one for him, and there is no better feeling for him than finding the back of the net.

"“It doesn’t matter which goal or how it was scored. Every single one is special to me and there’s nothing better than scoring goals.”"

Sebastian Kehl heaped praise on Erling Haaland after the game. The Borussia Dortmund head of players’ department was also asked whether the striker could leave the club if a big money bid arrives this summer. Kehl reiterated that there is no chance of that happening, and added that Haaland wants to achieve something with Borussia Dortmund.

"“We have made our decision clear,” Kehl said. “Erling feels super comfortable here. He wants to achieve something with this team and I don’t get the feeling at all that he wants to leave.”"
