The Bundesliga is back this weekend and Borussia Dortmund begin their campaign with a tough home game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Borussia Dortmund go up against Eintracht Frankfurt on matchday one of the 2021/22 Bundesliga season. The Black and Yellows are expected to compete for the Bundesliga title this season, and they will want to start off their campaign with a win.

Erling Haaland seems to have picked up where he left off last season. The Norwegian international scored a hat-trick in Borussia Dortmund’s season opener against SV Wehen Wiesbaden last weekend. And he will be hungry for more goals on Saturday. Joining Haaland in the BVB attack will Thorgan Hazard and Marco Reus. New signing Donyell Malen starts on the bench.

Borussia Dortmund will once again have to make do without several key players in defence, and Axel Witsel starts at centre-back as a result.

This weekend’s game will also see supporters return to the Signal Iduna Park for the first time since October 2020. A total of 25,000 fans will be at the stadium on Saturday to cheer Borussia Dortmund on against Eintracht Frankfurt.
