Borussia Dortmund ran riot in their first Bundesliga match of the season, beating Eintracht Frankfurt 5-2 at the Westfalenstadion.

The 2021/22 Bundesliga season finally got under way for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, as Die Schwarzgelben played host to Eintracht Frankfurt at the Westfalenstadion. While the expectation was for Dortmund to come out winners, the performance they produced was something of a goal scoring spectacle.

Borussia Dortmund managed to put five past Die Adler, mercilessly putting them under pressure from the very first whistle. And while Frankfurt did try to play their game and return the favor, the result never really seemed in doubt.

Goals from Erling Haaland, Marco Reus, Thorgan Hazard and Gio Reyna ensured that three points would be collected by the Black and Yellows in front of 25,000 fans, the most the stadium has seen since the beginning of the pandemic. Lets take a closer look at the in and outs of this sublime performance by a side that looks hungry and raring to go.
