Borussia Dortmund will be aiming to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to SC Freiburg as they go up against TSG Hoffenheim on Friday evening.
Borussia Dortmund’s momentum was halted last week as they suffered defeats to Bayern Munich and SC Freiburg. Things don’t get much easier for Marco Rose’s side on Friday, as their shaky defence faces off against the free scoring TSG Hoffenheim.

Borussia Dortmund began their season with two impressive wins over Wehen Wiesbaden and Eintracht Frankfurt. But defeats to Bayern Munich and Freiburg have put the Black and Yellows under pressure already. Anything other than a win over Hoffenheim would spark more questions about BVB’s title credentials going into the international break. And Marco Rose will have to ensure that his side can get the job done on Friday.

Hoffenheim have made a strong start to the season, winning two and drawing one of their three games so far. They have scored an impressive nine goals already this season, and were held to a 2-2 draw by Union Berlin last weekend. After a disappointing 11th place finish last season, Hoffenheim will be aiming to compete for the European places this time around.
Hoffenheim have an excellent recent record against Borussia Dortmund, having suffered just one defeat in their last seven games against them.
