Marco Reus (6/10)

Reus looked dangerous going forward and set up a few decent chances for his teammates in the first half. The Borussia Dortmund captain also showed his commitment by making some vital defensive contributions for his side. He had a golden chance to make it 4-2 late on, but somehow fired his shot wide.

Erling Haaland (7/10)

Haaland wasn’t able to get involved much in the first 90 minutes of the game. But he came up clutch in the 91st minute to score the winner for his side. That is what great strikers do. And Haaland is well on his way to becoming the best striker in the world.

Donyell Malen (6/10)

Malen put in his best performance for Borussia Dortmund so far. The Netherlands international looked lively, forced some good saves from Baumann and caused a lot of problems to the Hoffenheim defence. It wasn’t all good, but Malen definitely showed signs that he is slowly finding his feet.
