Jude Bellingham heaped praise on Erling Haaland after the striker scored a dramatic last-gasp winner to help Borussia Dortmund beat TSG Hoffenheim on Friday evening.

Erling Haaland was Borussia Dortmund’s match-winner once again on Friday, as his 91st minute winner saw the Black and Yellows earn a thrilling 3-2 win over TSG Hoffenheim. The goal came just 90 seconds after Munas Dabbur had made it 2-2 for Hoffenheim and sent the Signal Iduna Park into raptures.

Haaland had endured a frustrating 90 minutes before that goal. But when he finally got his chance, he pounced at it and scored the winner for his side.

Jude Bellingham called Haaland a machine after the game, and said that the striker’s incredible impact had him lost for words.

"Bellingham told DAZN, “Erling is a machine. I haven’t got enough words to describe how good he is. It’s unbelievable what he can do.”"

While Haaland grabbed all the headlines with his late winner, it was Bellingham who was the star of the show for Borussia Dortmund on Friday. The 18 year old assisted Gio Reyna’s opener before restoring his side’s advantage with a fine strike from the edge of the box. And while he was happy to get on the scoresheet, he was even more pleased with the three points.

"“I caught it clean and [it was] one of them when it comes off your foot and you know it’s going in, so it was one of them really,” Bellingham said. “I was just happy to contribute with the goal and set up Gio. Three points is all that matters really.”"

Gregor Kobel: “We showed great fighting spirit”

Gregor Kobel was another one of Borussia Dortmund’s stand-out players in the game against Hoffenheim. He kept his side in the contest by making several important saves over the course of the 90 minutes. The Swiss shot stopper said after the game that BVB showed great fighting spirit to come away with the three points despite conceding a late equaliser.

"“It was a very emotional game,” Kobel told DAZN. “We showed a great fighting spirit. It’s not easy when you concede the equaliser so late. But it’s not all positive. We should have put it to bed earlier. The late equaliser leaves a sour taste. But we can be happy that we managed to win the game.”"
