CONFIRMED Borussia Dortmund lineup for Champions League clash against Besiktas

Defenders: Thomas Meunier, Manuel Akanji, Mats Hummels, Raphael Guerreiro

Mats Hummels is back in the starting XI after recovering from his knee injury. And he will be aiming to help improve the Borussia Dortmund defence. The Black and Yellows have let in 12 goals in their last five games. And the hope will be Hummels’ return can bring some stability to the back-line.

Marin Pongracic drops to the bench with Hummels back in the line-up. Pongracic put in an encouraging performance in the game against Bayer Leverkusen, but he makes way for the BVB vice-captain for the Besiktas clash.

Manuel Akanji will be aiming to continue his fine run of form on Wednesday with a strong performance against Michy Batshuayi and co.

Raphael Guerreiro and Thomas Meunier will start as the two full-backs for Borussia Dortmund. Both players made several defensive lapses against Leverkusen, and they will be looking to avoid those against Besiktas.
