FIFA 22 ratings for Borussia Dortmund players revealed: Erling Haaland leads the way with 88
The FIFA 22 ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players have been confirmed by EA Sports ahead of the game’s release in October, and there are more than a few surprises.
With FIFA 22 set to launch on October 1, 2021, EA Sports have started to release the ratings for the players. The FIFA 22 ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players have now been confirmed, and the video games giant has once again made some strange decisions.
Borussia Dortmund players have historically never really been given the ratings they deserve by EA. And the newly released FIFA 22 ratings have done nothing to change that notion.
Unsurprisingly, it is Erling Haaland who leads the way as far as Borussia Dortmund players are concerned with a rating of 88. Mats Hummels is second with a rating of 86. He is followed by BVB captain Marco Reus, who has received a rating of 85. Raphael Guerreiro is up next, and he has been given a rating of 84.
Axel Witsel is next with an 83 rating, followed by Thorgan Hazard and Emre Can who both have a rating of 82.
Jude Bellingham has been given a huge rating upgrade, as he has gone from 69 in FIFA 21 to 79 in FIFA 22. But considering just how good he has been over the last 12 months, one can’t help but feel that this rating is on the low end. A case could also easily be made for Manuel Akanji (80), Mahmoud Dahoud (79) and Gio Reyna (77) deserving higher ratings than what they have been given by EA Sports.
Another big surprise is that Roman Bürki (80) has been given a higher rating than Gregor Kobel (79) and Marwin Hitz (78) despite being behind both in the pecking order at Borussia Dortmund. Kobel certainly deserved a higher rating following his impressive performances for Stuttgart last season.
In terms of individual attributes for the Borussia Dortmund players, Erling Haaland has the highest shooting rating (91), Raphael Guerreiro has the best passing (85) and dribbling rating (88), Donyell Malen has the highest pace (90), and Mats Hummels has the highest defending rating (89).
