Marco Reus (6/10)

Reus should have doubled Borussia Dortmund’s advantage at the half hour mark. But he could not beat the goalkeeper after going through on goal. He had some encouraging moments going forward and also helped out defensively on a number of occasions.

Erling Haaland (7/10)

Haaland missed a golden chance to score soon after Bellingham’s opener. But he was on hand to turn home Bellingham’s cut-back in the first half stoppage time. He also missed a good chance in the second half, and those misses will no doubt have annoyed him. But he put the shift in for the team and also made some vital defensive contributions from set-pieces.

Donyell Malen (7/10)

Malen delivered his best performance in a Borussia Dortmund shirt so far. The Netherlands international managed to complete seven dribbles, and the way he just glided past defenders so effortlessly was a joy to watch. He beat two defenders with ease and created a fantastic chance for Haaland in the first half. While Malen was unlucky not to end the evening with an assist, he can certainly take a lot of confidence from this performance.
