Defenders: Thomas Meunier, Manuel Akanji, Mats Hummels, Raphael Guerreiro

Marco Rose made the surprise switch to a back three for Saturday’s game against Gladbach. But he reverted to a back four soon after. And we will see Borussia Dortmund line up with a back four once again on Tuesday.

Thomas Meunier continues to be a threat going forward. His crossing and decision making in the final third have improved immensely. And fans will be hoping that he can keep this run of form going in the next few weeks.

Raphael Guerreiro has come under a bit of criticism for his recent defensive lapses. But he remains a pivotal part of the team’s attacking play. Hopefully, we will see more disciplined defending from him in the coming games.

Mats Hummels and Manuel Akanji will continue their partnership in the heart of the Borussia Dortmund defence.
