Borussia Dortmund will be looking to return to winning ways as they take on Sporting CP on matchday two of the UEFA Champions League group stage.
The UEFA Champions League returns on Tuesday and another tricky match-up awaits Borussia Dortmund as they go up against Portuguese champions Sporting CP. The Black and Yellows enjoyed a winning start to their UCL campaign two weeks ago, and getting the three points on Tuesday would put them well on course to qualify for the round of 16.

Borussia Dortmund’s four game winning run was snapped at the weekend by Borussia Mönchengladbach. Marco Rose’s side lacked an attacking edge and failed to register a single shot on target in that game. A much improved performance will be needed if Dortmund are to get the three points on Tuesday.

Sporting CP suffered a disappointing 5-1 defeat at home to AFC Ajax on their return to the UEFA Champions League two weeks ago. But they have responded well by winning each of their two games. The defending Primeira Liga champions have won five of their seven games in the league so far this season, drawing the other two. And they have a talented and youthful squad that could cause a few problems to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
