Thorgan Hazard (5/10)

Hazard was always a willing runner on the wing, but he wasn’t able to make much of an impact on the game. He got into some really good positions, but his end product wasn’t good enough.

Marco Reus (6/10)

Reus made his return to the starting XI and delivered a decent performance without causing too many problems to the Sporting CP defenders. He did come close to scoring on a couple of occasions in the first half though, and also had a goal ruled out for offside.

Donyell Malen (7/10)

Malen had a frustrating first half up until the 37th minute, when he finally got on the scoresheet with a clinical and precise finish. He looked a lot more confident after scoring his first ever goal for Borussia Dortmund, and also had a goal ruled out for offside in the second half.

Julian Brandt (5/10)

Brandt came on to replace Dahoud early in the game. He gave the ball away carelessly on a number of occasions, but also showed a few glimpses of his creativity.
