Borussia Dortmund trio Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard and Thomas Meunier have been called up by Belgium for the UEFA Nations League finals.

Belgium have announced their squad for this month’s UEFA Nations League finals, and three Borussia Dortmund players have been included. Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard and Thomas Meunier will all be aiming to help the Red Devils win the tournament next week.

Belgium are among the four teams that have reached the 2021 UEFA Nations League Finals. Roberto Martinez’ side will face 2018 FIFA World Cup winners France in the semi-finals. And if they manage to overcome the challenge of France, a place in the final awaits. Euro 2020 winners Italy will go up against Spain in the other semi-final.

This is Belgium’s first ever appearance in the UEFA Nations League finals. And they qualified by finishing ahead of Denmark, England and Iceland in the group stage.

Witsel, Hazard and Meunier all played crucial roles for Belgium at the Euros this summer. And the trio will be hoping to feature again next week as Belgium look to end their wait for a first major trophy.

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne and Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard are among the other big names in the Belgium squad. Former Borussia Dortmund striker Michy Batshuayi has also been called up.
