Borussia Dortmund II returned to winning ways on Sunday afternoon as they registered a 2-0 victory over Würzburger Kickers.

First half goals from Tobias Raschl and Richmond Tachie helped Borussia Dortmund II earn a 2-0 win over Würzburger Kickers and go to the top of the 3. Liga standings. It was another strong performance from Enrico Maaßen’s side, who have taken the 3. Liga by storm since their promotion from the Regionalliga West.

Borussia Dortmund II made the perfect start to the game and took the lead in just the second minute. It was Tobias Raschl who made it 1-0 with a fine low strike. Richmond Tachie then doubled the Black and Yellows’ lead in the 25th minute with a lovely finish from a tight angle.

Not content with a two goal lead, Borussia Dortmund II continued to dominate proceedings. They also defended well and made sure that the Würzburger Kickers weren’t able to claw their way back into the game. In the end, there were no more goals as BVB II cruised to a 2-0 win.

The win takes Borussia Dortmund II to the top of the 3. Liga standings. The BVB U-23s have now won six of their opening 11 games and have 20 points to their name. They are a point clear of SV Waldhof Mannheim and FC Magdeburg. Although Magdeburg do have a game in hand.
