Five players left Borussia Dortmund on permanent transfers this summer. We take a look at how they are performing at their new clubs.
It was a busy summer transfer window for Borussia Dortmund, who made five new signings and sold five players. Here is a look at how the five players who left the Black and Yellows this summer are faring at their new clubs.
Jadon Sancho – Manchester United
Jadon Sancho was the most high profile player to leave Borussia Dortmund this past summer, joining Manchester United for a fee of 85 million euros plus bonuses. The England international hasn’t been able to set the Premier League alight just yet. After nine appearances for United, he is still searching for his first goal and assist.
Going to a new league and having to adjust to a completely different style of play and tactical system is never easy. And Sancho’s cause hasn’t been helped by the fact that he wasn’t able to have much of a pre-season due to England’s run to the Euro 2020 final.
Still, Sancho has managed to show glimpses of the incredible talent he possesses in his appearances for United so far. And he is too good to struggle for much longer. The quality will no doubt come through in the coming weeks and months.
