Borussia Dortmund’s injury troubles are showing no signs of slowing down. Raphael Guerreiro, Thorgan Hazard and Youssoufa Moukoko have all left their national team camps early due to injuries.
Borussia Dortmund have been hit by a raft of injuries since the start of the season and have a number of key players on the sidelines at the moment. And it has now been revealed that Raphael Guerreiro, Thorgan Hazard and Youssoufa Moukoko have also picked up injuries.
The Portugal national team have announced that Raphael Guerreiro has withdrawn from their squad with an injury. The left back complained of an issue during Wednesday’s training session. And the medical examination he underwent confirmed that he would not be able to take part in Portugal’s upcoming games against Qatar and Luxembourg.
Thorgan Hazard has been ruled out of this week’s UEFA Nations League finals due to an ankle injury. The Borussia Dortmund winger injured his ankle in August and only just made his return to action a couple of weeks ago.
Youssoufa Moukoko has also picked up a muscle injury, ruling him out of Germany U-21s’ upcoming games against Israel and Hungary.
The trio will now return to Dortmund and further examinations will reveal the extent of the injuries. The club will likely provide an update soon.
Erling Haaland, Gregor Kobel and Thomas Meunier were also forced to withdraw from their national team squads earlier this week. Borussia Dortmund will no doubt be hoping to have all six players fit in time for the game against Mainz 05 on October 16.
