The injury cloud continues to hover above Borussia Dortmund heading into their game against Mainz 05. Marco Rose did not want to give out too many details during his pre-match press conference. But he did confirm that Mahmoud Dahoud, Raphael Guerreiro and Youssoufa Moukoko will miss the game with their respective injuries.
Erling Haaland remains a doubt, but Sebastian Kehl did say on Wednesday that he has high hopes of the striker being fit for the game. Manuel Akanji will be looking to overcome his adductor injury, while Thorgan Hazard is also expected to be available. But Thomas Meunier is still struggling with a toe problem. And it is also unlikely that Gio Reyna will be fit in time to play on Saturday.
Mainz do not have as many injury concerns as their opponents. But they will be without key defender Jeremiah St. Juste, who is out with a shoulder injury. Also absent will be the suspended Dominik Kohr.
