Players to Watch

Erling Haaland marked his return from injury by scoring two goals against Mainz on Saturday. He loves playing in the UEFA Champions League and will be looking to add to his already incredible goal tally in the competition on Tuesday.

Also key for Borussia Dortmund will be Thomas Meunier, who is enjoying an impressive start to the season. The Belgian international has become a real threat down the right wing with his pinpoint crosses into the box. But he will also have to be at his best defensively on Tuesday against Ajax forward Dusan Tadic. The Ajax captain is the team’s creator in chief and has four goals and eight assists to his name this season.

Sebastien Haller will also have an important role to play for Ajax. Linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund last week, the former Eintracht Frankfurt striker has been in excellent form this season. He has 11 goals to his name in 12 appearances so far, including five in just two Champions League games. He is strong in the air, has great movement, holds the ball up well and links up really well with his teammates. So the BVB defenders will certainly have to pay attention to him at all times.
