Marco Reus (2.5/10)

Reus scored the own goal which gave Ajax the lead. And his evening did not get any better after that. He looked a bit shaken by that own goal and made a number of heavy touches and poor decisions in the first half. He also allowed Daley Blind with too much space to score Ajax’s second goal. And he wasn’t able to get involved in the game in the second half.

Donyell Malen (2.5/10)

Malen set up a decent chance for Haaland on the stroke of half time. But aside from that, it was another underwhelming performance from him. He did not seem to be too keen on helping out defensively either. And Marco Rose brought him off just eight minutes after the start of the second half.

Erling Haaland (4/10)

Haaland also looked to be short of confidence and wasn’t able to get much service from his teammates. He still got himself into some really good positions and caused a few problems to the Ajax defenders. But his finishing was poor and he was denied by the Ajax goalkeeper three times. A player of Haaland’s quality should have buried at least two of those chances.

Emre Can (3/10)

Can came on to replace Nico Schulz at half time. But like Schulz, he also struggled to cope with the threat posed by Antony. The German international was also poor on the ball and then failed to close down Sebastien Haller in time for the fourth goal.

Thorgan Hazard (4/10)

Hazard replaced Malen in the second half. Despite putting in a shift, he wasn’t able to cause any problems to the Ajax defence.

Wolf, Pongracic and Knauff came on with the game already in Ajax’s bag and had little time to make any impact on the game.
