Marin Pongracic (5/10)

Pongracic did not look fully comfortable with the ball at his feet. He made a sloppy error in the first half that nearly resulted in a goal for Arminia Bielefeld. But he made up for it by helping Gregor Kobel prevent the home side from scoring on the counter attack. He started in the middle of the back three but was soon moved to the right as a result of some of his sloppy errors.

Manuel Akanji (7/10)

Akanji did a decent job and prevented Arminia Bielefeld from getting too many chances in front of goal. With Borussia Dortmund dominating possession, he saw a lot of the ball. He won the majority of his duels, hardly put a foot wrong defensively and also helped start a number of Borussia Dortmund attacks.

Mats Hummels (7/10)

Hummels doubled Borussia Dortmund’s lead on the stroke of half time with a stunning first time effort from the edge of the box. It was a sublime finish, especially from someone who is by no means a striker. He did prevent his side from getting the clean sheet, though, by giving away a penalty late on.
