Midfield: Axel Witsel, Jude Bellingham, Julian Brandt

Marco Rose would ideally like to use this game to give at least one of Jude Bellingham and Julian Brandt some rest. But it remains to be seen if that will be possible considering the lack of options in midfield.

Axel Witsel will likely start in the defensive midfield role, especially if Emre Can plays at left-back. The Belgian international has endured a difficult start to the season. And he will be aiming to find some form in the coming weeks.

Jude Bellingham and Julian Brandt both impressed during Borussia Dortmund’s win over Arminia Bielefeld, with the former scoring an incredible solo goal after dribbling past three defenders.

Bellingham has started in all 14 of Borussia Dortmund’s games so far this season and has been one of the team’s top performers. While Brandt has also impressed in recent weeks.
