Manuel Akanji (6.5/10)

Akanji had a few problems against the dangerous Köln attack but dealt with them well for the most part. He started the move that led to Dortmund’s first goal and also made several important clearances for his side.

Mats Hummels (7/10)

Hummels had his hands full with the threatening Anthony Modeste but got the better of the Köln striker in the majority of their duels. He positioned himself really well and made a number of vital interceptions and recoveries for his side.

Marin Pongracic (5/10)

Pongracic had a torrid afternoon against Mark Uth and made a few sloppy errors leading to chances for the Billy Goats in the first half. He made a few misjudgements in possession and was lucky that they did not end up costing his team in the end. He was taken off in the second half as Marco Rose switched to a back four.
