Manuel Akanji (5/10)

Akanji wasn’t able to get close to Nkunku before Leipzig’s first goal. He struggled to assert his usual dominance in the duels. But he still managed to make a number of important recoveries for his side.

Mats Hummels (5/10)

Hummels had a few problems against the Leipzig forwards, especially Nkunku, over the course of the 90 minutes. He wasn’t able to get on the ball as much as he would have liked. He had a decent chance to equalise in the 79th minute, but he wasn’t able to get his header away from the goalkeeper.

Marin Pongracic (4/10)

Pongracic did not offer much in terms of defensive stability or control. He played Nkunku onside for the first goal and his passing was also poor. And Marco Rose realised that, as the Croatian international was taken off at half time.
