Borussia Dortmund’s injury crisis could ease up a bit soon, with five players expected to return after the international break.

Borussia Dortmund’s medical staff has been kept very busy this season due to the team’s lengthy injury list. The Black and Yellows currently have eleven players sidelined due to various injuries. But the hope is that there will be a few returnees after the international break.

According to both Ruhr Nachrichten and Kicker, Mahmoud Dahoud, Raphael Guerreiro, Nico Schulz, Emre Can and Marius Wolf are all expected to gradually return to team training in the coming days. But at the moment it remains to be seen if any of them will be available for Borussia Dortmund’s next Bundesliga game.

Erling Haaland and Gio Reyna remain out for now. And it is still unclear whether they will be able to play again before the winter break. While Gregor Kobel has withdrawn from the Switzerland squad with a hip injury. And Borussia Dortmund have announced that the goal is for him to be fit for the game against Stuttgart.

The Black and Yellows are set for a busy period after the international break with eight games coming up in 29 days. They face crucial games against Sporting CP and Besiktas in the UEFA Champions League group stage, as well as the crunch clash against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund will also have their fingers crossed that none of the players who have been called up for international duty suffer any injuries while playing for their national teams.
