FC Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg, but Borussia Dortmund continue to have the best cards in the race for his signature.

Karim Adeyemi is set to leave RB Salzburg next summer and several top clubs in Europe are queuing up to sign him. Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and RB Leipzig have all been linked with a move for the highly rated striker. And now FC Barcelona have also joined the race for him.

According to Sport1, Barcelona are ready to pay 40 million euros for Adeyemi and they want to submit an official bid to RB Salzburg this week. But the report adds that despite Barcelona’s interest, Borussia Dortmund remain the favourites to sign the 19 year old.

The report also claims that Borussia Dortmund are offering a transfer fee of 35 million euros including bonuses, plus a five year contract for Adeyemi. The Black and Yellows cannot compete with Barcelona in terms of transfer fees and player wages, but their overall package is thought to be the best.

Borussia Dortmund also have a great record of giving playing time to talented young players and helping them reach their potential. And that will certainly be appealing to the German international.

Adeyemi, who has scored 15 goals in just 22 appearances for RB Salzburg this season, wants to finish the season with the Austrian side before leaving in the summer. At the moment, it remains to be seen where he will play next season. But chances are that his future will be resolved by January at the latest.
