Axel Witsel (5/10)

Witsel struggled to get involved in Borussia Dortmund’s attacking play once again and often went with the easier passing option. He made a few important interceptions for his side, but should have done a better job of covering for Akanji in the build-up to Stuttgart’s goal.

Jude Bellingham (7/10)

Bellingham put in another lively and hard-working shift for his team. He was always looking to get forward and make things happen, and also made several vital defensive recoveries. Stuttgart didn’t really know how to deal with him, and more often than not, just resorted to fouling him.

Julian Brandt (5/10)

Brandt got into some dangerous positions in the final third of the Stuttgart half, but he gave the ball away cheaply on a number of occasions. He lacked the precision required to cause any problems to the Stuttgart defence, and was taken off in the second half.
