Axel Witsel (4.5/10)

Witsel made a strong start to the game but when Sporting started to take control, they quickly overran him in midfield. Like Pongracic, he just stood there in a poor position and watched as Goncalves took the shot for his second goal. But he did make an important block to prevent Sarabia from scoring in the first half.

Jude Bellingham (6/10)

Bellingham worked hard for the team and made some good forward runs. Like Stuttgart at the weekend, Sporting also decided to deal with him by fouling him. He was fouled an incredible 8 times but still managed to have a few encouraging moments going forward in the second half.

Julian Brandt (7/10)

Brandt was Borussia Dortmund’s biggest attacking threat for large parts of the game. He created four chances for his teammates and also played in some dangerous crosses, including the one that led to Donyell Malen’s late goal.
