Midfielders: Emre Can, Mahmoud Dahoud, Julian Brandt

It is high time for Borussia Dortmund to freshen things up in the middle of the park. And with Jude Bellingham out injured, they will make at least one change in midfield.

Emre Can could come into the starting XI in place of Witsel, who desperately needs a break. Can was sent off on Wednesday and will want to make amends for that this weekend. He also looks much more at home in midfield than he does at left-back.

It will be interesting to see how Rose replaces Bellingham, who will miss his first Dortmund game of the season on Saturday. Mahmoud Dahoud is the likeliest option after he came off the bench on Wednesday. It remains to be seen whether he is fit to play 90 minutes. But Dortmund will need a strong all-round performance from the German international if they are to get the three points against Wolfsburg.

Julian Brandt will start in the number eight role, looking to create chances for his teammates and cause problems to the Wolfsburg defence. He had a decent game against Sporting on Wednesday, and will now want to build on that this weekend.
