Borussia Dortmund were made to rue sloppy mistakes and poor refereeing decisions as they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker.

Bayern Munich earned their seventh straight Der Klassiker win on Saturday, beating Borussia Dortmund 3-2 at the end of a thrilling contest. Both teams created a number of big chances, and in the end a controversial penalty call from referee Felix Zwayer helped the Bavarians come out on top.

Julian Brandt had earlier given Borussia Dortmund the lead, before goals from Robert Lewandowski and Kingsley Coman helped Bayern turn things around going into the break. Erling Haaland equalised for Dortmund early in the second half. The Black and Yellows were then denied a clear cut penalty, before Lewandowski scored the winner from the spot.

The defeat will no doubt be hard to take for Borussia Dortmund, who played some eye-catching football and deserved to come away with at least a draw.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich.

Gregor Kobel (6/10)

Kobel made a couple of good saves for his side but did not stand a chance with any of the three Bayern goals. He was unlucky once again as the defenders in front of him did not help him out at all.
