Lennard Maloney: “I’m really pleased to be here in Dortmund”

BM: You transferred from Union Berlin where you spent 6 years in the academy, what are the main differences between ‘Die Eisernen’ and BVB? How are you adjusting to playing in Dortmund?

LM: I’m really pleased to be here in Dortmund, there is total football culture at this club, I’m buzzing right now, of course some part of me will always be at home in Berlin as I grew up there.

BM: You made your debut with BVB’s first team against Arminia Bielefeld in October. How was the experience of making your first team debut? Are you ready to feature more regularly for the first team?

LM: Of course, it’s always a dream to play for the first team in the Bundesliga and that’s my goal but I have my place here in the second team and I’m focussing on delivering for them. If Marco Rose needs me though, I will be there. The main thing is to give 100% whichever team I’m with, always.
