Axel Witsel (7/10)

With Besiktas not putting much pressure on the Borussia Dortmund midfielders, we were able to see Axel Witsel play his natural game without any pressure. He spread the ball well and also made a few important challenges, including the ball recovery that led to Dortmund’s opening goal.

Jude Bellingham (8/10)

Bellingham did his talking on the pitch and delivered another dominant performance in midfield for Borussia Dortmund. The young midfielder set up Donyell Malen’s goal in the first half. And he continued to cause Besiktas problems with his quick feet, dribbling and link up play. He was also given a rest for the final 18 minutes of the game.

Mahmoud Dahoud (8/10)

Like Bellingham, Dahoud also delivered a strong performance in midfield. He won the penalty before Dortmund’s second goal, and then assisted Reus’ goal in the second half. He then helped wrap the win up by delivering the cross that was turned home by Erling Haaland for Dortmund’s fifth goal.
