Like Kobel, Mats Hummels is also down with a cold. So Marin Pongracic and Emre Can will start as the two centre-backs.
Marco Rose heaped praise on Dan-Axel Zagadou during his pre-match press conference and also backed him to receive a new contract at Borussia Dortmund. But the Frenchman has been given a rest for this one and starts on the bench.
Raphael Guerreiro starts on the bench as well after recovering from his muscle injury. Nico Schulz keeps his place in the starting XI at left-back.
Thomas Meunier has been a constant in the Borussia Dortmund starting XI so far this season. He will start at right-back once again this weekend.
