Thomas Meunier (5/10)

Thomas Meunier started the game really well and created three dangerous openings for his side in the opening 13 minutes of the game. But he was caught out of position before the equaliser and did not have the best of games defensively in the second half.

Marin Pongracic (3/10)

Pongracic made his return to the starting XI and had another poor game. His positioning was woeful at times and he should have done a much better job of closing down Marco Richter before the second goal. He then stood in the way of Marwin Hitz before Hertha’s third goal. The Croatian international also looked uncomfortable on the ball.

With each passing performance from Pongracic, it becomes more of a mystery just what prompted Borussia Dortmund to sign him in the summer.

Axel Witsel (3/10)

Starting Witsel in central defence ahead of Emre Can was a strange decision from Marco Rose. The Belgian international did not look comfortable whatsoever. He wasn’t able to keep up with Belfodil before the equaliser. And his header before Hertha’s go-ahead goal was also a very weak one.

Nico Schulz (3/10)

Schulz did not offer any threat down the left flank. He looked sloppy in possession and made a number of avoidable errors. He was also caught napping defensively on a number of occasions, including before the third goal.
