Marco Reus (3/10)

Reus missed a couple of big chances in the opening 13 minutes of the game. Had he even buried one of those chances, it could have been a different story for Borussia Dortmund. He seemingly suffered an injury in the first half and was substituted close to the hour mark.

Donyell Malen (3/10)

Malen struggled to get involved in the game and wasn’t able to get on the same wavelength as his strike partner. He did create a chance to equalise for Mahmoud Dahoud in the second half. But that was his only decent moment of the game.

Erling Haaland (3/10)

Haaland had a torrid time on the pitch and was second best in a lot of his duels. He never looked like causing any problems to the Hertha defence and cut a frustrated figure for the majority of the 90 minutes.

Thorgan Hazard (4/10)

Hazard put the ball in the back of the net moments after coming on for Marco Reus. But the goal was ruled out for the narrowest of offsides. He did not have any moments of note after that.

Dan-Axel Zagadou, Raphael Guerreiro, Marius Wolf, Steffen Tigges (N/R)

The quartet came on to somehow rescue the game for Borussia Dortmund with not long left. Raphael Guerreiro set up the late consolation goal for Steffen Tigges, but some of his set-piece deliveries were really poor.
