Edin Terzic reportedly set for an increased role at Borussia Dortmund following Michael Zorc’s departure

With Michael Zorc set to retire at the end of the season, Borussia Dortmund’s plan is for Edin Terzic to reportedly move up to second place behind Sebastian Kehl in the sporting hierarchy.
Former Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic could be set for an increased role at Borussia Dortmund next season. The 39 year old, who is currently working as the club’s technical director, could move up to second place in the sporting hierarchy when Sebastian Kehl replaces Michael Zorc as sporting director in the summer.
This is being reported by WAZ, who add that another name is expected to join Borussia Dortmund to help support Kehl in his new role. The newspaper does not mention any names that are being considered, but does claim that former BVB chief scout Sven Mislintat (currently at VfB Stuttgart) is not being targeted for the role anymore.
Terzic spent six months as Borussia Dortmund head coach last season following Lucien Favre’s sacking. He helped the Black and Yellows win the DFB-Pokal and finish in the top four after a disappointing first half of the season.
With Marco Rose taking over as the Borussia Dortmund head coach, a new role was created for Terzic in the summer. He became the club’s Technical Director, and has been working closely with Michael Zorc and Sebastian Kehl in recent months.
Terzic revealed in June that his new responsibilities include him being involved in the squad planning process. And he also acts as the interface between the club’s youth and professional teams.
