Borussia Dortmund are said to be seriously considering signing Jude Bellingham’s younger brother Jobe for the U-19s team in the summer.

Jude Bellingham has gone from strength to strength and has become one of the best young midfielders in the world since joining Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020. His brother Jobe could also be set to follow in his footsteps very soon.

According to Ruhr Nachrichten, the Black and Yellows are seriously considering signing Jobe Bellingham in the summer for the U-19s team. The newspaper adds that the 16 year old visited the Borussia Dortmund training ground shortly before Christmas. Although the meeting was more about staying in contact, and less about concrete negotiations.

BVB have been closely following Jobe Bellingham’s development and could make a move for him in the summer. Bellingham currently plays for Birmingham City’s youth team, and has scored four goals in just seven appearances in the U-18s Premier League this season. He has also made the Birmingham City senior team bench on three occasions.

Birmingham City are keen on keeping Bellingham at the club, and have already offered him a new contract. While Ruhr Nachrichten add that several other well-known clubs are also interested in signing him.

Jude Bellingham said in May that playing with his brother at Borussia Dortmund would be a ‘dream come true’ for him.
