Can the resurgent Eintracht Frankfurt heap further misery on Borussia Dortmund?
All the uncertainty surrounding Borussia Dortmund means that this is the perfect opportunity for Eintracht Frankfurt to take advantage. The Eagles made a poor start to the season but have now climbed back up to sixth place. A win on Saturday would see them move to within four points of Dortmund.
Oliver Glasner has done an excellent job since joining Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer, and the effects of his work have started to show in recent weeks. Frankfurt have been playing free-flowing, dynamic football. And more importantly, they have been playing cohesively as a team, which is not something that can be said about Borussia Dortmund.
Eintracht Frankfurt have won six of their last seven games in the Bundesliga. They have already beaten the likes of Bayern Munich, SC Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen this season. And now they will be looking to heap further misery on the already struggling Borussia Dortmund this weekend.
